Henderson has conceded just nine goals in 12 Premier League starts this season, while keeping an eye-catching five clean sheets along the way as Chris Wilder’s men sit very comfortably in fifth, just eight points behind Manchester City.
In Pope’s case, the Burnley keeper has conceded 18 goals – double the amount of Henderson’s concessions – while keeping one less clean sheet than the 22-year-old with four shutouts to his name.
So, on the basis of those stats, you can definitely argue that Henderson has been unlucky to miss out.
