The Evening Standard has reported that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been allowing out-of-contract Italian hitman Giuseppe Rossi to train with his Manchester United side as he looks to regain his fitness, after the 31-year-old left Genoa in the summer.
Rossi excelled with Villarreal in Spain and looked destined for the very top of the game, but a series of serious knee injuries ruined his development since a fantastic 2010/11 campaign in which he scored 18 La Liga goals – from then on, he has played for a total of four different clubs in just seven years.
It is no secret that Crystal Palace are in need of a striker to help them find the back of the net, as they are amongst the lowest scorers in the Premier League this season, whilst funds are also said to be limited at Selhurst Park.
As a result of those factors, a move for free agent Rossi seems ideal in both aspects; the main thing is if the Eagles can keep him fit.
