da jogodeouro: As reported by The Sun, Manchester United are keen on securing Joe Hart as goalkeeper next season if they find themselves having to replace popular star David de Gea.
What’s the story?
da realsbet: Having been at the club for six seasons, De Gea has become a popular and vital man at Old Trafford, consistently performing as one of the best goalkeepers in the entire English Premier League. However, it appears that his future in Manchester is doubt.
The Sun reckon that Real Madrid are reviving their interest in the Spaniard and that’s opened the door for a potentially shocking switch this summer.
The paper also report that Manchester United are preparing to replace De Gea with Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.
With City signing Ederson, the already out-of-favour Hart has little future at the Etihad and The Sun reckon Mourinho has picked the England international as his top replacement for De Gea.
A capable replacement?
Having gone on loan to Torino last season to rebuild his career after being shunned by the incoming Pep Guardiola, Hart didn’t exactly have the best season in Italy either.
High-profile errors have strewn his game for a few years now and after the calm and cool waters David De Gea has brought to Manchester United, it could be seen as a mis-step for United to move for the England number one.
There’s no doubting that Hart is a fine shot-stopper on his day though and with the motivation to get one over on his current club and Guardiola, perhaps it’s a move that could produce a classic footballing story.
